Dubs in the Middle’s environmental policy to help reduce climate change and our carbon footprint!

🍺 Bars – NO single use plastic – You MUST have a reusable cup or can purchase one from the merchandise tent or bars
🚗 We have a strict no vehicle movement policy to reduce traffic and pollution (if you leave the site you WILL NOT be able to re-enter – this is for those camping on site all weekend)
🗑️ All waste is diverted from landfill and all bins are emptied daily by our chosen waste management company
🥛 No glass on site allowed to prevent danger to those on site and surrounding wildlife while reducing other risks to public safety⚠️
🧨 No fireworks or fire snaps
🔋 No generators in the campsite, we actively encourage the use of SOLAR power
💡 Only necessary lighting to be on during night
🚯 Continual litter picking will be in place – this year this service with be provided by volunteers of Coalville C.A.N
🔊 STRICT 11pm amplified noise curfew across whole site to reduce noise pollution. No loud sound system or karaoke machines allowed in campsite
🏮 NO Chinese lanterns
⛺️ Take your tents and camping equipment home with you, discourage single use mentality
🎈 NO helium balloons
🎉 Bio degradable confetti within the marquees
🧵 NO silly string as this is not biodegradable
🚿 Showers are fitted with timers to prevent water wastage
💧 Encourage customers to bring their own water bottles to reduce single-use plastic
🌑 We offer free refuse bags (available at ticket exchange or info points)
🌱 Offer plant based food options – amazing vegan and vegetarian food available all weekend
🛍️ Encourage upcycling, second hand and charity stalls. Reuse & recycle
🍴 ECO friendly cutlery & plates (no plastic) are used by our caterers
🔥 No fire pits in campsite to reduce smoke pollution and decrease fire related accidents
🪵 BBQs must be raise off the floor by atleast 1 meter to avoid damage to grass. All ash to be placed in metal bins provided (coal BBQs will be banned in event of a heatwave)
🚽 All toilet waste to be put into the chemical waste tanks – anyone seen disposing of waste inappropriately will be asked to leave the site ⚠️
🔨 REPAIR BENCH – we have a small charity in attendance who will be operating a repair bench for tents, chairs and other items for a small fee
♻️ LEAVE NO TRACE MOTTO – please respect this and please leave your camping pitch how you found it
Other ways in which we aim to contribute towards becoming greener are:
- use reusable cable ties
- move to an electronic trade application system to reduce paper wastage and reduction in printing
- crew car share in operation where possible
- reusable banners where possible
- crew clothing, high vis and lanyards are washed and reused every year until they have to be replaced
- biodegradable glitter
- Reuse – where possible we purchase second hand equipment
